Hi there, how do I test if a battery and the camera is healthy?
I just bought my gopro Hero 7 black (limited edition) last week amd even when downloading software, I notice the battery deplete quite quickly - ie like 5% over the software download. It is worst when I set to 4k 30 fps and it only took 7 mins video before it overheats and crashes. Battery took about 50% for that 7 mins

Is it new? have you formatted it?
The card should be from this list https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations
If you are having rapid over heating, it could be an issue with the card. Try another card from the list if possible.
Perform a FULL (not Quick) format of the card in your computer.
Download the manual update to your computer.
Extract the UPDATE folder to your computer
Place the UPDATE folder (not UPDATE.zip) onto the card and eject.
Place the card in the camera and power on using the side Mode button.
Once the update is complete, go to preferences>reset and format the SD card
Place the camera in 1080p/60fps and make sure the battery is fully charged.
Press record and time how long the camera records for. If it records for 85-90 minutes, it is performing correctly.
