i bought a new gopro hero 6 a couple of days and updated to the latest firmware. After that i noticed that it's taking too much time for charging (almost 12 hrs for 96%) and the battery charging indicator is not showing at the time of charging. it gets turn off after a few seconds of plugin the charger.
I'm using a samsung quick charger (output=5v/2A) and original gopro usb type c cable).
I've tried almost everything including reset and still i'm facing the problem......please help me out ASAP,

It's normal for the the charge light to turn off for a moment after plugging the camera into a power source. The light should come back on after a little bit.
Drain the battery a couple of times and fully recharge it after each use. Check the battery % after one hour and again after 2 hours. It should be fully, or at least almost completely, charged after two hours.
If, after a few full discharges and charging sessions the battery continues to give you trouble, contact the GoPro Support Team and they can help you out.

I have exactly the same problem.
I dig a little bit about that and the problem seems to be the very poor quality of the original battery (Gopro use two manufacturers, one of them is a mess).
My original battery never charged up to 100%. Most of the time the charging was stopped at 82% or 87%.
Removing and reinserting the battery sometimes will fix this issue, but only sometimes. Try to replace the battery in warranty or buy an aftermarket one. It seems that more of the aftermarket batteries are far better than the originals...
Do not be fooled about "the mighty powerfull Gopro charger"... All 5V chargers (phone) chargers are OK, the only difference is the current intensity. A 2000mA (2A) will charge faster than an 1000mA (1A) charger. Also, the USB port of the PC/laptop will give you 500mA but even so an original battery who have 1220mA should be charged in approx 3-4 hours...

I have the GoPro supercharger and it works great, but I agree, any basic phone charger will do. I have noticed that the supercharger does seem to work a little bit better than my Samsung fast charger, but not by a significant amount. The only good thing you get by using a GoPro charger is it won't void your warranty if there happens to be any damage to the camera from your charger. Use of a non GoPro wall charger or power pack is not covered per the warranty agreement.
