Battery drain

[ New ]

Hi,

I bought the GoPro Hero 9 with bundle pack and received it less than 2 weekes ago. I received it and upgraded the firmware, still not using it for outdoor activities but already incurred in some problems.
I noticed that my Gopro Hero 9  is heating too much just powered on and the batteries are loosing power when the camera is off.
With one of the batteries I had also a strange situation, I was charging it, and after some hours the led was not powering off although it was 100% charged. I think with those behavior could be really difficult to use for outdoor activities.
Anyone is incurring in the same problems? How could be possible to solve that?

Best regards

Hi @simonec44356

Please try re-flashing the software.

Follow the manual update steps on https://gopro.com/en/us/update/hero9-black

Once completed, reset the camera. Go to Preferences> Reset> Factory Reset

It is also best to turn the Wi-Fi option off when not in use.

Let us know how it goes.
You may also reach out to our Support Team through https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs  for further assistance.

Thanks!
