Battery dies in 20 mins and supper hot Go Pro 7

[ New ]
I have issue with GoPro 7. Problem 1. GoPro gets super hot within 20 mins of using. Battery does not last too long 20-30 mins from the beginning of purchase. These products need improvement. Feel like waste of money !!! Not satisfy with product as per cost.

@fastpeak66023, additionally, make sure that a recommended SD card is used for your camera. Using SD cards that aren't recommended can cause issues like freezing as the card isn't fast enough to write the content, the camera getting hot or battery consumption is higher than normal as the camera stays in an active mode trying to sync to the card.

You may also perform a short record time test through the instructions here: https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/Short-Record-Times/ta-p/395856

What settings are you using in the camera?  If you're shooting in very high quality at a high frame rate, this is going to consume a lot more power then shooting in 1080P @ 30FPS.

You always have the option of removing the internal battery and powering the camera from an external power supply.
