Gopro claims to fullfill the order in 14days upon receiving your old camera.
It has been demonstrated by many people here in the community that this is not true.
They will feed you excuses about the delay and keep dragging you around and ruin your holiday plans or whatever use you want to do with the camera.
They just don't care about your satisfaction,
Don't do a tradeup order, you've been warned.
I will try to keep this topic visible in the first page of the community.
Hopefully this message will save at least one customer from beiing fooled by gopro.

@marcopar It is your own fault if you plan a purchase of a Camera and going on Vacation, Common sense leave room for margain.
How I see a Trade up working, you are the last in Line to get taken care of. GoPro got your Money, Gave you a discount, and you are locked in and the best thing we can do the next time is to know in advance the Person above MISSED his Trade up. you ant the discount you wait and plan. called Common sense. never purchase because You are in a rush. GoPro is not Going anywhere, you are?

@fishycomicsyes, common sense made me place the order a month before, so leaving a slack of about a couple of weeks doubling the declared processing time. Seemes reasonable isn't it? Or should i have wondered that gopro doubling those figures is a realistic scenario when they brag all the time about the shipping times and they are giving out precise figures about the processing time of the tradeups? Common sense, yes.
anyway, as far as i can tell they did not take my money yet (only a 1$ transaction to test the card) and an 10 year old camera that i won't see anymore once i will cancel the order.
you know what is lame here?
it's that they take orders knowing they aren't able to meet the deadline *they* set.
it's that when they are inquired about these orders they make up unreasonable excuses (order system is having problems since last week and we don't know when it will be fixed.....come on) and drag people around.
it's that they even say they are unable to cancel your order because of the aforementioned outage

Note to self... check forums before ordering! I thought GoPro and I think quality service as it is a main stream company. How wrong was I? I went for the trade up to change my old Hero 3into a Hero 7 for a reasonable discounted price. So I went through with it on the 8th June. I posted my Hero 3 off which UPS ferried across to europe and delivered on 13th June, since then my status has remained at pending. No update, No Emails, No Phone updates, nothing, nada, zip. 14 days have now elapsed and nothing received. To make matters worse I ordered a Fusion camera (as they had dropped the price) on the 17th June, I thought it would be much quicker as it was a cash order. However, they took my money, but nothing, the status page doesn't even show my order!
I have 'live' chatted and phone them. Today the phonecall eludes to the fact that it's the 3rd party financia and fullfillment company's fault, They run the system that the GoPro sales team use to look up the orders, but it is 'down' at the moment, so no order details can be extracted. I'm still none the wiser, No point of escalation, no estimated time for a fix. Isn't it time for GoPro to come clean with it's customers that there are problems? The amount of PR being lost as a result of this must be huge! What's happening to all our orders that are caught up here? Give us feedback on what you are negotiating with your fulfillment agent, at least something!
Looks like I am going to be have to rely on my Hero 4 when travelling abroad soon, as the Hero 7 is not expected anytime soon!

Mate are you serious with that reply? Do you work for GoPro? On their website they promise to ship within 14 days and then don't bother to update anyone and instead leave orders on pending blaming some supply chain issue. Most people have left over a month with is 2 weeks on top of their promise, so it is not his fault. What an unhelpful post...

I hear ya took me a FUll Month from Start to Finish i was better off going to a Store and getting one if I wanted it faster. I had a Broken camera and got the 100.00 and I had to pay the price of Waiting. if waiting is not on your side then we know it is best to shop elsewhere. It sucks when you want something for less and no where does it say that in the fine prints. not my house and sucks I hear ya.
