I just recieved my Fusion camera and have been experimenting with it as well as the GoPro Fusion app for Mac. I know there are Adobe plugins available currently, but I edit through FCPX and was wondering if there were any plans to release a plugin as there is for Adobe Premiere or After Effects for Final Cut Pro. My main interest currently is in using the Overcapture feature to recompose shots for 2D videos, which is very difficult to do if not impossible with just the GoPro Fusion app.
There are one or two 3rd party plugins for general 3D video available online for FCPX, but they either expensive or are incomplete in features. Thank you.

I just recently realized that a 360 camera doesn't necessarily require you to output VR movies ... which I really don't like.
But using "Overcapture" as you call it would allow me to mount the camera on my motorcycle and then pan, zoom and sweep in post as I need it, like that cool building I passed but couldn't focus my helmet cam on because I had to check traffic on the right.
The possibilities are endless. And I don't want to do that in any other software other than FCPX ... not on the phone, not with Quik.
So +1 for the FCPX plugin :-)

GoPro generally needs to support FCPX a little more.
I'd love to extract location data from my clips and display them, without having to add another conversion step by using Quik.
All the data is in there - just need a plugin that extracts it.

I expect all of this capability will be native to the next release of FCPX, they are saying before end of year.
The Dashboard 360 VR plugins for FCPX work OK, and the main ones that mimic the Premier tools, such as keyframing over capture and tiny planet do not watermark.
