App keeps crashing on hero4

Hi, I've just came back from holiday and whilst there the first few days I was able to connect and view media taken on day to day basis, however 3 days later the app keeps crashing, I have installed and reinstalled and same happens. I'm using a Samsung s8. Any ideas to resolve this would be gratefully appreciated

Glad to hear back from you, @anant75. Prior to pairing again, have you forgotten the GoPro from your phone's Wi-Fi settings, and deleted it from the Bluetooth devices as well? Your research is correct. The default password is goprohero and it works when I tried on my end. This is after I have reset the camera and manually updated it. I understand that the camera is on the latest firmware but we recommend doing a manual update in order to clear out any possible error associated with the current installation. 

I just paired a HERO4 Silver camera with a Samsung J^ running on Android 8 and I was able to get preview, and access media without trouble. Please consider the additional troubleshooting steps and keep us posted on results.

Thank you for reporting this matter to us. Were you getting any error message from the GoPro App? Do you recall when the crash occurs? Are you able to get through the pairing successfully? 

Which OS is your Samsung S8 running on? Make sure that it is updated to the latest Android OS. 

If you have not done it yet, try manually updating your HERO4 Silver camera, then re-pair the camera and the phone considering the steps detailed in this article on solving GoPro App connection issues.

Hi Marius. Thank you for getting back to me. I have the latest software for both hero4 and Samsung s8. I have reset the Wi-Fi but don't have the manual at hand and can't find the default password. I found on the forums that the password is goprohero and didn't work. I also tried goprohero4 and still no luck. Any solutions???
Also previously the camera was pairing ok jus when pressing media it would close the app

Hi Marius. I'm finding as I can't connect to Wi-Fi using that password do I need to actually reset the camera to original reset and not jus the WiFi?

Hi Marius. Just to let you know I have managed to connect to Wi-Fi so that's a relief. And same again the camera is viewable and I'm able to take pictures using the app. But when I press media again is says can't find media and then a message appears "app had stopped"...Any further ideas would be gratefully appreciated
