Good morning all!
I've got a GoPro Hero6 Black, and I attach it to my airplane on a tie down mount under the wing. When I'm on the runway, the correct (thereabouts) altitude is displaying. Say 600'. As I rotate and climb out, the altitude decreases. It'll drop to zero, then go into negatives so I'm flying -6,500' or so.
I've searched and perhaps my terms suck, but I'm having a rough time figuring this one out.
This thing totally boned?
I've attached a potato-quality screenshot for you to check out.

Thank you for reaching out. Appreciate you posting a photo of the gauges. A negative value on altitude is truly confusing, especially in association with the elevation or your location. Is your camera updated to the latest firmware? What is the version of the Quik app that you have on your computer? Would love to hear back from you.

Thank you for your response! I’m on Quik 2.6.0 on the MacBook and latest firmware on GoPro.
I’ve power-cycled the camera as well and can replicate this each time. GPS altitude is always initially correct but then will decrease with a climb, and increase with descent.
For example, if I’m flying at 5,500’ and I start the GoPro it’ll show correct but then decrease as I go to 7,500’.

Great to hear back from you. Let us try this. Let us update to the latest version of Quik for Desktop (version 2.6.1). You can follow this link: https://shop.gopro.com/APAC/softwareandapp/quik-%7C-desktop/Quik-Desktop.html
Then please check on the gauges again. Will watch out for your post.

Thanks! I just updated and gave it a shot with some existing video, but it still descends into negatives as I climb. Would I need fresh video? I can attach the cam and fly with it, but it won’t be before next week. I wouldn’t think updating Quik and video would have a correlation, but just making sure.

Thank you for looking into it promptly. Are all the other gauges measure still good? It would be best to try with a fresh video to cover all bases. I have this post bookmarked and will monitor for updates from you.

My apologies for the delay, but I went on a trip and didn't get a chance to fly to get new video. I did today, and it's still a problem. Altitude decreases rather than increases.
