A mess of problems

I have a Hero 4 Silver. I absolutely love this camera for underwater. Recently it started to have a lot of trouble pairing. Now it will not pair, it shows SD Card error and I can not move any updates for the camera from my computer to the camera. I have tried multiple SD cards and tried formating them. I tried downloading update software onto the SD card and it still shows error. I am not sure what else I can do. Besides not recording or pairing, it is fully functioning. I will say, I started to notice issues when I used a charger port and extra battery from GoPro instead of just charging the camera directly. Can you help me?

Looks like a software issue or SD card failure. 

 

May I know what SD card are you using? 

Have you tried changing your SD card?

I call gopro while the thread is up and answers are going to come in the actual people at gopro will be able to resolve hte issue by replacing the camera which sounds like hardware.

I used many different types. Tried to format them all and none would work. The main ones I tried were Scan Disks.

I have contacted them. My camera is about 6 months out of warranty. They didn't have any suggestions, but they did offer my 100.00 off a new Hero 6. This made me a very happy customer.
