So, is the lense (cover) and the front and back glass ALL "toughened Gorilla type glass" or just some of it ?
Do I nreed aftermarket tough(glass) screen protectors?
Many say that 7 and 8 overheats really fast and easy. What causes this? Is it ONLY 4k 60?
I want to just use 1080p
Is this "trade in ANY old camera" for 100 bucks off real?

"Many say".... You sound like the President. Many people are saying...😆
4K and high frame rates make any camera hot. There is tremendous processing going on and the sensor also produces a lot of heat. Include the battery heat and then seal it all up in a waterproof case. Guess what, prolong recording, especially without proper airflow, will case the camera to do what it's SUPPOSED to do, and shut down to cool. No, this doesn't happen in 1080p (30-60fps). The HERO8 was redesigned to allow for better thermals, so it works much better than HERO7 Black in this regard.
Yes, the Trade Up is real. I ordered on a Saturday, shipped my HERO HD (2010) on Monday and recurved my new HERO8 Black on Saturday.

@snowyapex5332 Any camera, any condition, as long as all parts less the battery strap and cables can be in 100 pieces, As long as teh retail is 100.00 noy 98.99.
The glass will break if dropped the right way my phone broke a brand new screen no less.
you may want to protect the lens, that is your option, not ours. Also fingerprint proof nah will show grease for sure after some use.. won;t argue that point. HD1080P heat same chip will heat up, maybe 5-10 degrees less but still gonna toss Heat t othe Bottom vs the top I hear.
