4k 60Fps GXO files not viewable after import
[ New ]I just bought new Hero 6, and the 4k 60fps files aren't viewable after I import into FCP, Adobe Premeire or Quick. All are using most updated versions. Just see a black screen and can hear audio. Thumbnails are veiwable on Quick, but it won't play them in quick, just stalls. I have newest software updates for my mac as well. any help would be appreciated

Re: 4k 60Fps GXO files not viewable after import
[ New ]hi,
you can imagine we all that we have non Win10 OS, we all are affected, and we do not like it.
played a little with the HanfBrake.
create your own template:
here is mine:
first, the result: ---almost the same size, same 4K, same rate
here are the settings:
after choosing the file.
1. close those presets from the right pane, leave Legacy and chose the High Profile
- nothing to change here in tab Picture, recognize the size from the file chosen
with the mouse over a setting, you will have a popup window with help....
2. select Video tab
make the settings I depicted
- codec H.264
- FPS - same as source
- Constant Framerate
- Optimize video - I slide it to Slower
- Quality - I slide it to 20 - it's logarithmic scale....
3. save the settings for future use
- will be listed in "User presets"
hope this helps
robert

Re: 4k 60Fps GXO files not viewable after import
[ New ]I figured it out, apparently FCPx does not have the updated codec yet. if you look at the files in the finder app, (if you have the most updated mac software High Sierra) they will play and you can view them, just haven't figured out how to edit anything with them yet. I guess we have to wait for Apple to add this to FCPx. Not sure why they don't show up in Premeire yet.

Re: 4k 60Fps GXO files not viewable after import
[ New ]Same here!! I am a GP Dealer and have gotten NO WORD at all about this problem. I can convert the files through a lengthy process on Handbrake to 1080 but I want 4K and 60fps!! Even GP Studio won't import the **bleep** things. Is anyone at Go Pro alive and can give an answer on this page?
