My husband is in the US with his new hero 7 black and has recorded some video at an NBA game. He is trying to view the videos on a samsang tablet.. would this video look blurry as it's not a 4k TV? Just want to have the correct settings so he doesn't come back with crappy videos.

If he has transferred over the actual mp4 video and is playing that file, then there could be another issue.

There are actually many settings and editing techniques that can be employed, but it takes time and knowledge to utilize them correctly. If his knowledge is pretty basic, then I'd recommend turning Protune on and just using the defaults in 4K.
One other simple settings he might try is the selective exposure balance. Simply press on the rear LCD until a small white box appears. Move the box arrived the screen until the picture has the best exposure. Press the box again to lock the value and then press the check mark.

Thank you so much for your help, I greatly appreciate it. Yes he is very basic with technology so don't want to confuse him but I will definately pass on that information.
4K/30fps should be fine. Depending on how far he is from the court, the players might look pretty small. He can use the zoom feature on the camera or when it comes time to edit the video, he can use a 1080p sequence and then scale the image to create a zoom (which is the better option).

So he is back and viewing the video was the next drama! Tried on a usb but that didn't work so ended up with a micro hdmi cable. Is there anyway to find out what settings were used for the video? Some video is great and others are a bit jumpy. Thanks :)
