23.6 sensor is too big for 1/2.3-inch matrix.[ New ]
Why did you ruin 4K video quality?
It is impossible to watch and the pixel display quality has become terrible with this sensor size.
GoPro 7 shoots better than version 9 and Hypersmooth 1 is more better than Hypersmooth 3
I can't use Hypersmooth 3 at the 3PM, because it LOW LIGHT scenario for it.
Are you OK to drop this product to market?

I want a better low light sensor myself, but I think is not possible on an action camera.
a bigger sensor at the same resolution means bigger physical pixels.
a bigger pixel has a better signal/noise ratio, meaning you cane use higher ISO without noisy image.
the same surface more resolution means smaller pixels.
but! I feel the ISO3200 is usable, at least for me, at the limit.
in gopro 7,8 the max I used was 1600.
so I think even smaller pixels, behave better at higher ISO.
my feeling is:
- the 5K sensor was introduced for stabilization, to have enough room on the sensor surface to stabilize a 4K
- gopro wanted to preserve the wide FOV we all love
- sensor technology and software can balance t some extend the sensor smallness...
in order to have a 1" sensor and the same FOV, the optics should be much larger.
look at the Sony RX0, has a 1" sensor but half the FOV and slower lens f/4 (GoPro has f/2.8)
neither helps Sony to get better images in low light.
somewhere you have to do a balance.
personally, I want a 35mm sensor on a camera - but the lens will be as a DSLR one... so no more action camera.
