Hi GP support,
I just purchased Gopro5 Black as I was so happy with the GP Hero3. I was looking forward to the evolution and even the new 240 FPS mode (too bad there si only narrow view on this one I didn't test yet).
The thing is I am am so disapointed by the first result of a simple shoot in 120 FPS 720p which is the one I used to use with the GP Hero 3 all the time. Look at that quality, I uploaded the result on YouT and I slow it down with same software (Adobe Premiere) 25% like I was doing with GP 3 (and where I had tremendous result by the way).
Look at the blur it creates on teh subject, during the movement of the fall, is it normal ? Shoudl I return the GP because of an issue ? Should I activate an option so that it stops this blurring it was not doing on teh Hero 3 ? It's not good when your first intention/impression is to return it or it should be broken...
Thank you so much for yoru feedback, I don't have that much time left to return it in case this blurring is normal...

Try using Gopro stuion and FLUX. and see if that improved the quailty. my question be, because you were in motion capturing and he was in motion falling , and panning to get ityou think you were stressing the shot out, I think so?

Nope using another platform doesn't work.
And I wasn't moving at all + normally with teh Gopro 3 I am shoting wakeboarding where both teh filmer and teh subject are moving and I always had perfect results, everything looks like the shot is blurred by some internal Gopro processing, look even at the edges of the picture, nothing is really neat and I am only using 720, so it shouldn't be related to a problem of speed of writing onto teh card ?
Really I can explain it...? Can it be that the lens is defect ? But then it would be blurry also at normal speed which is not happening. It's cristal clear at normal speed and on several platforms I am using where it was no problem with GP Hero 3 to make it slow down at 25% with no blur, here it looks like something is adding a motion blur "built in"

if it is bluring , no ned filter was used that causes blur. just plane ol gopro . yhen that would be something to do wit hteh frames. the lens is htelens, you dirty it , it will blur.. but when the camera softwre and frames pers second. could be gopro newer chip if asked. I hardly use 720P and still should be super crisp and clear.

It's not camera dirty or scratched, it's brand new !!!
And teh blur only appear when there is motion, look at thsi other capture screen of a 25%
It looks really like the camera algorythm is doing a focus on the roller and all the rest is blurry, how come ?
It shoudl be an option or something, no ?

One of the new features gopro offers is the control over shutter speed. Please alter the shutter speed. Move it to a very low shutter speed. You should get good quality with less blur.
Hope this helps.
